Over the past two years, many of you have heard her name. You’ve seen her in photos. You may have met her during a visit.
Today, we want you to know her heart.
When Vivian first came to Casita, what drew her in was simple yet profound: our mission to protect, nurture, and invest in children who need stability and love.
“As a mother, I immediately felt connected to that purpose,” she shares. With a professional background in Industrial Engineering and years of experience working in banking and higher education, Vivian could have continued on a very different career path. Instead, she felt a strong desire to use her skills somewhere the impact would be deeply human and transformative.
And that is exactly what she has done.

The Moment It Became Personal
Vivian remembers the exact moment she knew this was more than a job.
“It was during one of the daily routines with the children — watching them feel safe, laugh freely, and trust the adults around them. In that moment, I realized this was more than just an administrative role. It was an opportunity to be part of something that truly changes lives.”
That was the moment she fell in love with the mission.
As a mother of a seven-year-old daughter, Vivian understands how foundational early stability is in a child’s life. “Children thrive when they feel secure, valued, and seen,” she says. “Casita creates that foundation for children who need it most.”

When asked what has surprised her most, Vivian doesn’t hesitate: their resilience.
“Despite difficult circumstances, they are joyful, affectionate, and eager to learn. Their ability to trust and love again is truly inspiring.”
One small but powerful moment stands out in her memory. A child spontaneously hugged her and said, “Thank you for being here.”
“It reminded me that presence matters,” she reflects. “Sometimes just showing up consistently makes all the difference.”
She describes the children as brave, loving, energetic, and full of potential. And when they are around her, she hopes they feel safe, respected, and valued — confident that they deserve opportunities to grow and dream big.

Vivian brings a rare combination to Casita: structure and warmth.
Her background in banking and higher education has helped strengthen administrative processes and bring strategic thinking to the organization. But what makes her leadership so impactful is that her heart remains focused on the children’s well-being.
“I hope to bring structure and stability while preserving the warmth that defines Casita,” she says.
She describes our staff culture as one of unity, professionalism, and compassion — a team that supports one another and shares a deep commitment to the children.
And when asked what makes Casita different from other nonprofits, her answer is simple:
“Casita combines professionalism with genuine love. Casita isn’t just programs – it is a home and a community.”
A Commitment to Stay
One of the things that gives us great joy is Vivian’s long-term commitment to Casita.
“The children and the mission have made me want to stay,” she says. “I feel that my skills and my heart are aligned here.”
As she looks toward the coming years, she is excited about strengthening systems, expanding impact, and continuing to build a stable environment for both children and staff.
She understands something deeply important: stability creates trust.
“For children who may have experienced instability, consistent leadership provides security. For staff, it creates clarity, direction, and confidence.”
Her vision for the future is clear — to grow alongside the organization, continuing to develop as a leader while helping Casita expand its impact without ever losing its heart.

A Legacy of Hope
Vivian dreams of a Casita known for excellence in care — a place where every child feels loved and empowered.
She hopes we continue building a legacy of hope, transformation, and integrity in this community. A place families trust. A place where children’s lives are changed for generations.
When asked how supporters can help, her answer reflects humility and wisdom:
“Pray for wisdom, unity, and sustainability. Financial support, encouragement, and advocacy are essential in helping us continue providing stability and opportunity to the children we serve.”
If she had to describe Casita in three words?
Hope. Stability. Love.
And perhaps those three words describe Vivian, too.
We are grateful for the leadership, heart, and long-term commitment she brings to Casita. The future is stronger because she is part of it.
